One Million Children --- SAN

“We are going to give food, housing, love and the best possible education to one million children.” It sounds staggering, but that’s the direction recently unveiled by David Youngren, Founder of SaveAfricaNow.

“Africa orphaned children deserve the same life and opportunity as our children. We have an obligation to give these precious children more than just food and shelter. We must give them security, love and significance. We must educate and empower them to become everything they were created for. The time is now. Let’s together change Africa forever” is the message Youngren is taking around the world.

His compelling plan to mobilize one million people to join the movement is already met with tremendous enthusiasm. Now screenings of the popular documentary, Africa Sing Me Your Song, is helping getting that message out. As young and old watch the moving documentary, the response is remarkable.

SaveAfricaNow’s current project is called Salama. It consists of a state of the art Children’s Care Center outside the city of Tabora, Tanzania. Close to 1000 children will be empowered at this Center. Work is scheduled to begin on 150 acres of land in the fall of 2007.
